11/08/2008 - Michael Valiante Joins Michael Shank Racing
After a break-out 2008 Rolex Sports Car Series season, which saw Columbus-based Michael Shank Racing team take a record-setting pole for the Rolex 24 At Daytona and close out the year with two consecutive race wins, the team is already getting a fast start on 2009 with the signing of Michael Valiante. The Canadian-born racer will co-drive the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford-Riley with John Pew.
 
 
09/21/2008 - Pew, James, Matos Win Season Finale at Miller Motorsports Park
(Tooele, UT) - On Saturday, just weeks after No. 60 Ford-Riley of Mark Patterson and Oswaldo Negri won the penultimate Rolex Series round at New Jersey Motorsports Park, the team closed the season out on an even stronger note by winning the final Rolex race of 2008 as the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford-Riley of John Pew, Ian James, and Rafa Matos scored a convincing win in the SunRichGourmet.com 1000 at Miller Motorsports Park.
 
 
08/31/2008 - Pew and James fight back to Seventh at New Jersey Motorsports Park
Millville, NJ - The New Jersey outing looked to be in dire straights for the No. 6 Ford-Riley as John Pew made a great move to avoid a spinning DP directly in front of him in the first corner, only to be punted by a different DP on the next series of corners, sending him spinning nose first into the dirt that lines the newly opened track.
 
 
08/23/2008 - Michael Shank Racing Armed Forces 250 Race Report
John Pew started the race from seventh on the grid in the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford-Riley and moved up to sixth after ten laps of racing on the track once known as Sears Point. The day got even better as Pew moved up to 5th before pitting to turn the machine over to co-driver Ian James.
 
 
08/20/2008 - Michael Shank Racing Looks for Strong Finish at Infineon
"The team championship is something we are very focused on and we are looking forward to these next three races to move up as far as possible with both cars," said team owner Mike Shank. "We've been quick at Sonoma both times we've raced there and hopefully we'll unload fast again this weekend. Things are very tight in this championship and every lap and every pit stop is going to be important so we're looking forward to a strong close to the season."
 
 
08/08/2008 - Double Top-ten for Michael Shank Racing at Watkins Glen
Watkins Glen, NY - Michael Shank Racing added to the team's tally of double top-ten Rolex Sports Car Series finishes on Friday evening as Mark Patterson and Oswaldo Negri finished the Crown Royal 200 eighth in the No. 60 Hospital For Special Surgery Ford-Riley, with the sister No. 6 of John Pew and Ian James taking the checkered flag close behind in ninth.
 
 
08/01/2008 - Pew and James finish 7th in the Montreal
Montreal, Quebec - John Pew and Ian James backed up their run to a debut podium at Barber Motorsports Park with another top ten Rolex Sports Car Series result on Friday, scoring seventh in the Montreal 200 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford/Riley combination.

LEEDS, Ala - Michael Shank Racing once again showed great speed and teamwork in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series and was rewarded with strong results as John Pew and Ian James finished the Porsche 250 in third place.

Michael Shank Racing added another top 10 to the team's tally for the 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series season as John Pew and Ian James combined for a run to 10th place in the RumBum.com 250 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Saturday in the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford Riley.

Both Michael Shank Racing entries had strong finishes in the Bosch Engineering 250 at VIR on Sunday as John Pew and Ian James teamed in the No. 6 Ford-Riley to come home fourth while Mark Patterson and Oswaldo Negri combined to move to third in the unofficial Rolex Team Championship standings with a ninth place result.

Michael Shank Racing will start the 46th Rolex 24 At Daytona from the front row with both team entries after Oswaldo Negri set a Daytona Prototype track record in qualifying. AJ Allmendinger will start alongside in the sister No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford-Riley entry after setting a fast lap time just .009 seconds adrift of Negri.
 
 
1/17/2008 - Pew and Patterson Confirm Trueman Award Entry
Full-season Michael Shank Racing drivers John Pew and Mark Patterson confirmed their entry on Thursday as combatants for the 2008 Grand-Am Trueman Award in Rolex Sports Car Series competition. The award is a form of championship within a championship, and is awarded to the gentleman driver with the best race results, which are multiplied by the miles completed by the driver through the course of the season.
